Kate, a workaholic baker, has given up on Christmas. Especially this year. When her boyfriend dumps her and she’s got to fill an order of Snoopy drives truck this is my Hallmark movie watching blanket shirt before Christmas. However, the gift of a magic nutcracker who turns into a real man makes the once cynical Kate understand the magic and beauty of Christmas–and of love. Arguably the best and most creative adaptation of A Christmas Carol. The Muppets Christmas Carol, starring Michael Cane does not feel like a “Muppet Movie.” The characters truly come to life in this believable and adorable Dicken’s classic. I lived to saves this film from being just another mediocre family Christmas flick by keeping it grounded and not suffocated by the typical tacky Christmas-spirit fluff. You usually see in them.

First, lets give some context to Nostalgia Critic. The Nostalgia Critic is a character played by YouTube veteran Doug Walker. Who was one of Snoopy drives truck this is my Hallmark movie watching blanket shirt influences on modern day video reviews. This is of course, for better or for worse. When Doug started, the internet review landscape was nonexistent so he’s pretty much all you had to pick from. I enjoyed his early Nostalgia Critic episodes, but looking back they hold a lot of the same flaws with his reviews today. The jokes are all very obvious and the nitpick nature of the reviews come off more tedious then enduring. This is what ended up tanking Cinema Sins as well. Just complaining about movies doesn’t equal good humor or critiquing. Doug’s content has gone way downhill in the past few years.
