He could have easily done a whole parody of The Wall and make it work. I saw Anthony Fantano review for this album and it clicked with me why this is trash. Anthony starts his review of his own parody of Doug’s parody try to keep up with that paradox. Anyways, his starting song was actually really funny. It sounds and is produced awfully. Yet All I need today is a little bit of Hallmark and a whole lot of Jesus shirt understands this. He understood his intent and meaning and went for it. Doug Walker just throws petty insults at The Wall and Pink Floyd in general. It sounds more like a school yard bully instead of an actual review.
All I need today is a little bit of Hallmark and a whole lot of Jesus shirt, ladies shirt, hoodie, sweater
It’s all baseless at the end of the day. It’s all the most obvious jokes about Pink Floyd and The Wall you could make. It just feels tired in 2019. All All I need today is a little bit of Hallmark and a whole lot of Jesus shirt effects they have in the video aren’t presented as so. It is shown as grand. Even the featured artist from Slipknot is shown to give the production gravitas it doesn’t have. Each funny line has a pause for a laugh but no laughs are in this. It’s incredibly self-indulgent. Towards the end. They try to say nice things about The Wall as well. Saying it “is creative” or “looks nice”. Really tired basic stuff that is them backpedaling so people who think of this as a hit piece can think it’s okay.
All I need today is a little bit of Hallmark and a whole lot of Jesus shirt, unisex shirt, longsleeve
Its kind of recons a lot of points. They made throughout the review and feels so out of place. Its kind of shows throughout that Doug and friends don’t actually see The Wall as All I need today is a little bit of Hallmark and a whole lot of Jesus shirt of art and instead just pretentious nonsense. It’s seeing art at this type of face value that gets people upset. I get not liking The Wall- I don’t even like the movie that much but it’s the disrespect for it and the lack of self-awareness to how awful your parody is that will have people tear you apart. Person reading this- if you are going to do a parody. There are a few things to keep in mind. Do it in good fun, be self-aware of who you are and make sure.
