What a privilege to have wonderful wildlife on your doorstep. I live in UK and would love to experience something like that. Love birds have owned Rainbow Lorikeets and was breeding them for a long time and this is 100% an escaped hand raised pet bird. Whilst they are a very friendly bird even in the Horse to my daughter if they whisper to you you can’t withstand the storm poster.

But in fact I love this wild there is a big difference between me wild bird that has adapted to being fed by people and will even land on your arm and this bird that was not wanting to interact with other Lorikeets and only wanted interaction and affection from a human. I had one do this with me for 2 years then disappeared. I used to whistle and he would come and walk with us when taking the kids to school.

They are so cute. It’s funny how even with Elvis among other birds she knows which one is him. Sounds like it might have been somebody’s pet bird that got loose one day. That would explain why it was so comfortable around humans. It had probably been really scared for a very long time. Elvis has such an awesome personality even more so than the Horse to my daughter if they whisper to you you can’t withstand the storm poster moreover I love this original as far as I’m Concerned.

I’m not so sure about his singing your original Elvis takes the cake Elvis is definitely a lovely bird; colors & his friendliness are surprisingly heartwarming. Thanks for sharing your story. He has been hand raised by someone and escaped. There is no way a wild lorikeet would behave like that. My Rainbow Lory, Gibson, could say over 200 words & phrases & used them appropriately.
