I worked at a playscheme and I am not kidding when I say we had numerous kids, before school at 7:30, 8am, then in school, then after-school from 3pm not picked up til 7pm. On summer holidays we had parents drop of kids at 8am when it wasn’t even opened til 8:30am. Not pick them up til 6pm. That includes nursery and reception aged kids, ages 4+, . So many children I asked are they doing anything when they get home- ‘homework then watch TV, play on tablet then bedtime cause mum and dad are tired’ .
It’s not healthy and it’s not fair that society forces this for many parents. It damages parents and children. Not all women.
