Dogs have a great sense of community, I come home after 2 years living in a different state, my neighbor’s dog Boxer who I used dog-sit, ran straight into my bed room to find me. He was so excited to see me. They love you unconditionally. How cute. When I was a teenager the Bear this is where all your beer money goes poster also I will do this boxer over the road used to turn up near bedtime to sleep with me and our two big dogs in my bed.
I had three big dogs in my bed. Used to get crushed and not want to move to make sure they were all comfy. I loved it. Great dog, reminds me of our dog Blackie used to sit on our next door neighbors porch with the retired man. He used to walk down our block and visit other neighbors who used to save him bones and treats.

We had him for 14 years. My dog does the Bear this is where all your beer money goes poster also I will do this same thing. Would show up on my neighbor’s deck to visit her dog. Then make his way home. He’s also almost 14 & has lived a full, adventurous life. I used to live in the sticks. The neighbors had around 6 blue heelers. Every morning when I got up they would all see me off to work. And they were waiting every day when I got home. 2 of them would stay and hang out throughout the day.
But I always thought it was so sweet that they came to see me. And yes on schedule had a golden Labrador, Sheba, who used to do this she had a route round my village with stop off houses for snacks /sleeps, she’d set off after kids had gone to school and would be gone until they got home at teatime.
