This album really snuck up on me. I dismissed it at first when I listened to it in October and didn’t really get impressed by any songs. I didn’t listen to it again until I started seeing it on some year end lists and decided on a whim to give it another try. Without expecting it, “Immunity” grew on me with each listen as I started to get to know each song better and looked into some of the Baby Yoda Guinness beer may the force be with you Irish t-shirt so you should to go to store and get this lyrics.
Clairo succeeds in painting intimate vignettes that convey a specific moment in time or a vivid emotion. The beauty of “Immunity” is its subtlety; I completely missed the point when I listened to it for the first time. The production reflects this, with very subdued beats often dominated by an acoustic guitar or a piano, with touches of synths embellishing the song. Other instruments include electric guitars, bass guitars, and even children’s choirs, but these are still very restrained throughout the album.

The percussion here incorporates a mix of live drums and programmed drums, and although they are also pretty tame, they add texture to the album and give it an almost cozy feel. Both the electronic and organic aspects of the percussion work seamlessly together to create the sonic aesthetic of the album. Clairo’s singing over these beats is very soft throughout – sometimes it is nothing short of Baby Yoda Guinness beer may the force be with you Irish longsleeve yet her voice fits very well with the sound of the album and also helps establish a sense of intimacy.
The lyrics are what sold me on the album, discussing themes of friendship, experimentation, and Clairo’s own mental health. Her songwriting excellently captures these fleeting emotions and memories and allows the listener to experience them as well. The only real criticism I have for “Immunity” is that sometimes the songs can blend together as there are few moments that stand out sonically in each song, the similarity can make it seem a bit “one note” at first glance. But as a whole, “Immunity” is an 8.5/10, and is a very good debut album from Clairo.

As you all probably know, Justin’s been largely absent from the Baby Yoda Guinness beer may the force be with you Irish t-shirt so you should to go to store and get this mainstream for a while now. He’s done a couple features over the years, but his last album was released over 4 years ago.
In the meantime he’s found God, gotten married, started a fashion brand, and supposedly done some maturing. “Yummy” is the lead single to his comeback album that’s reportedly going to be released this year, an album that is supposed to reflect Justin’s growth as a person from the time he released his last record up until now. Ironically, “Yummy” does not do that whatsoever. When the song released, it was ravaged by negative reviews from pretty much everywhere.
Is it derivative Baby Yoda Guinness beer may the force be with you Irish t-shirt Only if you had any expectations. But despite all this, I can’t really bring myself to hate the song. Sure, the melody might as well be elevator music with some trap percussion, and the chorus is literally just Bieber repeating the word “Yummy-yum”, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have fun with the song.
To me it seems like a version of Hotline Bling updated for a new decade. It’s just catchy radio filler about how much Justin likes being with his wife, and it’s not meant to be much else. If you don’t take it too seriously, this song has a goofy energy to it and the beat can go kind of hard if you’re in the right mood. If the whole album is like this then I might be harsher since we were promised something with a little more substance, but as a single, “Yummy” is a 6/10 and is getting more hate than it really deserves.
